I’m Dr. Cathy Scanlon and I have been an active breathwork coach for 5 years, having trained in Costa Rica, New York, New Mexico and California.

I discovered transformational breathwork in 2017 in Costa Rica and it blew my mind! It felt like something between going to therapy and taking psychedelic drugs. My mind became still for the first time in years and I felt so connected my myself and my intuition. I started having deep insights into my life, what I needed to let go of and how to create the life I really wanted to live.

Before becoming a breathwork coach I was an academic neuroscientist for 8 years in psychiatry and neurology  internationally and I have authored over 30 peer-reviewed research papers.

I specialises in combining the yang of the logical mind and the yin of the intuitive to assist clients to connect deeply with themselves to heal and transform.

I am passionate about research and bridging the gap between these ancient and mystical, yet science and research-backed breathwork techniques. Active breathwork is proven to build stress resilience, create focus and clarity and let go emotional tension and stress.

I’m mostly based in London, but currently spending some time in Lisbon. All sessions are currently online.
