Hello, My name is Sanela. I have been in the industry for over 30 years with well over 7,000 students Worldwide. My general aim is to improve clients’ relationship with water and promote freedom of movement. I am also FINA’s (International Swimming Federation) artistic swimming Judge.

My Background:

Experienced in teaching professional athletes, people with special needs, adults, children and babies.

I was a competitive swimmer from a young age and subsequently a gold medalist and record breaker in 100m and 200m backstroke between 1986 – 1991 in Former Yugoslavia from 13 – 19 years old age groups.

I have also had a chance to work with one of our county’s swimming Olympians Mr. David Wilkie – MBE during the 1990s and was part of the team campaign before London Olympics in 2012 to narrow the gap in gender inequality in sport between men and women in synchronised swimming. Now men are able to swim in mix duets and teams at National and International competitions. With that came the achievement of our first mixed duet winning a gold medal for Great Britain at FINA World Masters Championships in South Korea in 2019. Olympic Games in Paris 2024 will allow for the first time mix teams to take centre stage of this nature.

I was nominated for the London Award 2013 in the category Coach of the Year 2013 across the UK and have been recognised as an ambassador for quality of teaching in 2020.

I am very proud of what I have achieved with clients who have put an awful lot of commitment and dedication into reaching their goals.

Head Coach in West London Club for the past 11 years.

My coached clients have received recent media interest including coverage on the Andrew Marr Show (BBC), The Independent on Sunday, The Guardian, ABC News, Jo Brand’s Big Splash on Dave, Radio 4, Reuters and Eurosport. I have also been featured in Health and Fitness, ID and Vogue Magazines.

I cover London zone 1 – 4 and work at One Hyde Park.
